After price and location factors, living spaces that bring many values to both physical and mental health or are designed according to "wellness" living standards are increasingly of interest to both buyers and renters.
According to the Real Estate Consumer Psychology Report for the first two quarters of the year and the forecast for the second half of 2024 by Batdongsan.com.vn, the need to buy a house is always present in every stage of the market (58% of respondents). In particular, the current need to buy a house is led by the group of customers who already have a family with a rate of 56% (for families with young children), 73% (young couples without children).
In addition, 9% of respondents who have a need to rent also said that the reason for choosing to rent instead of buying is not due to financial pressure but because of prioritizing flexibility.
Ms. Mai (27 years old, Marketing Specialist, Ho Chi Minh City) shared: “I chose a job that does not require me to go to the office every day, but in return, to achieve work efficiency, I can change my residence 2-3 times a year. If I choose a living space that inspires me at work, this is also a way for me to pamper myself.”
Mr. Tinh (32 years old, bank employee, Ho Chi Minh City) would change his residence if he could find a living space with many amenities to conveniently serve his needs for sports training and physical and mental nourishment, because his job is quite busy but he still wants to be able to spend a minimum of time each day on personal health care activities, regenerating energy after a long day.
Ms. Mai and Mr. Tinh are two typical examples of people who may have different reasons for choosing to rent a house, but can see the common need for living space.
It is an obvious fact that today the demand for working from home is gradually increasing, especially among young people due to the development of the internet, the market has more jobs and forms of remote work (work from home) instead of having to go to the office. Accordingly, home buyers in general, young people in particular, increasingly appreciate projects that have invested and paid adequate attention to additional utilities for working from home.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tien, Deputy General Director of Sales & Marketing of DXMD Vietnam added: “Regarding utilities, buyers are increasingly demanding and clearer when looking to buy a house. Utilities such as supermarkets and stores are becoming indispensable, but the need for health care utilities, forming a living space that meets wellness standards is worth mentioning here.”
Explaining this, Mr. Tien shared that the reason is due to the development of quality of life from needing a place to live, then needing more basic amenities and more. In particular, the trend and need for health care are of primary concern to residents. Residents want to find a living space that meets their health care and training needs in the most convenient and safe way possible.
