To meet the finish line by the end of April, the contractor is currently mobilizing additional personnel and machinery to work day and night to speed up the progress of the project to renovate Thuy Van Bai Sau Vung Tau road.
On the morning of February 14, leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province inspected the construction progress of the project to renovate Thuy Van Bai Sau road, Vung Tau city. This is one of the major projects to beautify the coastal road and Bai Sau Vung Tau.
Workers worked on the project from morning to night to speed up progress.
Reporting to local leaders, Mr. Pham Quan Luc, Deputy General Director of Coteccons Business Unit 01, said that up to now, the package has been under construction for 108/180 days, reaching 60% of the total expected time.
However, the construction progress is currently 10 days behind the original schedule. To make up for the delay, the contractor has increased the workforce to 700 people, along with 74 pieces of equipment, double the previous number, and added night shifts to complete the project by April 21, 2025.
Mr. Hoang Vu Thanh, Chairman of Vung Tau City People's Committee, said that the project supervision was carried out very strictly. In the past, the Vung Tau City Investment and Construction Management Board arranged 14 people to work with the contractor to construct and supervise the project. However, in reality, during the construction process, some minor problems occurred such as the quality of concrete pouring and paving of the walking path did not meet the requirements. Up to now, these problems have been recorded by the supervision consultant and the contractor has been required to fix immediately. The investor continues to control the quality of materials, strictly implementing the use of only standard materials for the project.
Leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province requested to increase personnel and machinery so that the project can be completed on time.
Vung Tau City leaders requested the contractor to continue mobilizing twice as many human resources and machinery as at present. Construction must be carried out day and night to ensure progress and quality of the project.
After checking and listening to reports from the units, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, requested the contractors to continue to increase machinery and human resources to ensure the progress of the Thuy Van road project.
At the same time, request units to quickly fix existing problems. Continuously deploy construction according to commitments and ensure project quality, complete the project on April 21, 2025.
Nearly 1,000 more machines and personnel will be mobilized to speed up project construction.
The provincial chairman also requested construction units to promptly report difficulties and problems to find solutions, ensuring the project is completed on schedule.
The Thuy Van road improvement project is a public investment project from the budget of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province with two main items: upgrading the technical infrastructure of Thuy Van road and building Thuy Van park, with a total investment of more than 1,094 billion VND.

The project started in October 2024 and is expected to be completed before April 30, 2025.
