More opportunities for Binh Duong to promote community health care projects

This is the wish of Mr. Kim Jin Pyo - former Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Korea on the occasion of visiting and learning about investment cooperation opportunities and funding support from the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of Korea for hospitals in Binh Duong province on October 16.

At the meeting, Mr. Kim Jin Pyo - former Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy of Korea said that the Korean Government established the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) in 1987 with the aim of promoting economic exchanges between Korea and developing countries. EDCF has also supported Vietnam with about 2.36 billion USD in the fields of health, construction, environment, etc.

Mr. Kim Jin Pyo also wishes to coordinate with Binh Duong province to actively promote community health care projects, especially for the disadvantaged, the disadvantaged and the sick, as well as implement educational projects.

Mr. Mai Hung Dung - Permanent Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee said: Binh Duong is a developed industrial province with a very high rate of mechanical population growth, and the population is forecast to reach over 3.5 million people by 2030. The high population growth rate has put great pressure, leading to overload in some areas, especially health and education.

“In order to continue to maintain the sustainability of human resources in the health sector and contribute to improving the quality of examination, treatment and health care for people in the future, training high-quality human resources for the health sector is extremely urgent at present. Binh Duong province will create all favorable conditions to attract investment in this field and actively coordinate and support EDCF to research investment and develop health and medical projects in the province,” said Mr. Mai Hung Dung.
