On the afternoon of September 11, leaders of the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) chaired a meeting to deploy the mobilization of forces to support the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) in restoring the power grid of Quang Ninh province damaged by storm No. 3.
Accordingly, the Central Power Corporation has decided to send 273 engineers and skilled workers from 6 Power Companies including Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai to Quang Ninh province to support the restoration of the power grid.
These are all engineers and workers with extensive experience working in areas frequently affected by storms and floods, and they were also the ones who directly participated in and completed the task of supporting the construction of the 500kV line 3 circuit from Quang Trach to Pho Noi in July 2024.
Tomorrow morning (September 12), the shock teams will depart and are expected to arrive in Quang Ninh on September 13. The shock team of the Central Power Corporation will also bring vehicles and tools for repairing and constructing the power grid to ensure proactive support.
Previously, the Northern Power Corporation also mobilized nearly 15 Power Companies in the Northern provinces and cities to support the repair of the power grid in Quang Ninh province.
With the consensus, determination and timely support of the units, by 2:00 p.m. on September 11, many localities in the province had electricity restored. Specifically: 57% of the incident load in the whole province was restored; basically restored power supply to important loads in the whole province (hospitals, communications, clean water supply, etc.); restored 80-90% of the load in coal mines and over 175,000/430,000 customers had electricity restored.
As for the loads in Ha Long City area, due to many broken poles, Quang Ninh Electricity Company strives to fix them in the next few days and restore power supply to customers.
