Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei
Quoting verses from the Quran, Mr Khamenei appeared to predict an “imminent divine victory”.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian
In a social media post, Mr Pezeshkian said the attack was “to protect Iranian interests and citizens”.
"Let (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu know that Iran is not a belligerent party, but remains resolute against any threat. This is only one corner of our strength. Do not engage in conflict with Iran."
Hamas
Palestinian group Hamas praised Iran's missile attack.
"We congratulate the missile launches that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran has carried out on a large scale in our occupied territories, in response to the continuous crimes of the occupying forces against the people of the region, and also to avenge the blood of the martyred heroes of our country," the group said.
Houthi
Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam in Yemen welcomed Iran's military operation, saying it showed support for Palestine and challenged Israel's "hegemony" in the region.
Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee
The group, which includes Iraqi armed groups, said US bases in Iraq would be targeted if Washington decided to support Israel in attacking Iran.
"If the US intervenes in any hostile action against the Islamic Republic or if the Zionist enemy uses Iraqi airspace to carry out any bombing operations, then every US base and interest in Iraq and the region will be targeted by us," the group said on the Telegram messaging app.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Mr Netanyahu vowed retaliation, saying Iran “will pay a price” for its actions. “Tonight, Iran made a big mistake and they will pay a price.”
"Iran does not understand our determination to defend ourselves and our determination to retaliate. We will stick to the principle that we have set, that whoever attacks us, we will attack them. This is true in every area where we fight the 'Axis of Evil' and it is also true for Iran."
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres
Mr Guterres condemned the "ever-widening Middle East conflict with its constant escalation" and again called for a ceasefire. "This must stop," he said in the X post.
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan
The White House said Iran's ballistic missile attack on Israel was "defeated and ineffective", warning that Tehran could suffer serious consequences from the attacks.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer
Mr Starmer condemned Iran's ballistic missile attack on Israel "in the strongest terms", Downing Street said.
According to a transcript of the call from Mr Starmer's office, in a call with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu, Mr Starmer also "expressed the UK's steadfast commitment to Israel's security and the protection of civilians".
President of the European Council Charles Michel
The head of the EU Council has condemned Iran's attack on Israel, saying it "is a threat to regional security".
“The deadly spiral of escalation in the Middle East must stop now. A regional war is in no one’s interest,” he said in a post on X.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez
Mr Sanchez condemned Iran's attack on Israel and called for an end to the "cycle of violence" that is devastating the Middle East. "The Spanish government condemns Iran's attack on Israel and demands an end to the cycle of violence," Mr Sanchez posted on X
