U23 Vietnam will almost certainly win against U23 Guam, but how they win is what fans are waiting for from coach Philippe Troussier's team.

U23 Vietnam is considered the strongest team in Group C of the 2024 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers. On the contrary, U23 Guam is the weakest team in this group. Therefore, the gap between the two sides is huge.
In the past, Guam football has never been on par with Vietnamese football representatives. Usually when Vietnamese teams "collide" with teams from Guam, we always win big.
This time is probably no exception. In theory, coach Philippe Troussier’s team should be better than the team at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia a few months ago. After that tournament, the experience and mettle of the players under the French coach increased.
In terms of spirit, the U23 Vietnam players also increased significantly after our similar generation of players won the U23 Southeast Asian Championship last month.
Although the current squad only has a few players who have played in the U23 regional tournament in Thailand, such as central defender Luong Duy Cuong, midfielder Vo Hoang Minh Khoa, Khuat Van Khang, striker Bui Vi Hao... the spirit of the young Vietnamese players is very high.
The only remaining question is how coach Troussier's team will perform in the qualifying round of the U23 Asian Cup. At the 32nd SEA Games in May in Cambodia, U23 Vietnam was judged to have played unconvincingly.
In particular, our defense at that time was unsafe, lacked depth, and was easily overcome by opponents because the central defenders did not cover each other well.
In attack, U23 Vietnam at the SEA Games played a bit monotonously. The team at that time used a lot of high crosses from the two wings, while inside, only striker Nguyen Van Tung could handle high balls well, thanks to his better physique than his teammates around him.
Fans expect coach Philippe Troussier's U23 Vietnam team to play more diversely, combining wide-open plays and group coordination.
Fans also hope that U23 Vietnam will control the ball better, at least coach Troussier's players will have the same ball control ability as coach Hoang Anh Tuan's players did at the U23 Southeast Asian tournament a few weeks ago.
With a much higher level than the opponent, we believe that U23 Vietnam will have a convincing victory on the opening day, creating good psychological momentum for the team's next journey in the Asian qualifiers.
Prediction: U23 Vietnam wins 4-0
