On the afternoon of May 15, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, Comrade Truong Thi Mai, Politburo member, Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Committee's Organization Commission, chaired the talks between the delegation of our Party and the delegation of the ruling Revolutionary Party (CCM) in Tanzania led by Mr. Abdulrahman Omar Kinana, Politburo member, Vice Chairman of the CCM.
Comrade Truong Thi Mai respectfully conveyed the greetings of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the Chairman of the CCM Party and the President of Tanzania; thanked the CCM Party and the State of Tanzania for their good sentiments towards the Party, State and people of Vietnam; emphasized that Vietnam always pays close attention to the situation in Tanzania; and is happy to witness the achievements that Tanzania has made under the leadership of the CCM Party in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, making many contributions to building a peaceful, stable and developed East Africa region.
The Standing Member of the Secretariat affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to the cooperative and friendly relations with brotherly African countries, including Tanzania; saying that the two sides have many similarities and can complement each other to optimize benefits and enhance the position of each country in the international arena.
The Vice President of the CCM Party expressed his belief that the Vietnamese people, under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, will gain more victories in the coming time. The CCM Party and the State of Tanzania admire and wish to learn from Vietnam's experience in Party building, economic growth model innovation, and agricultural and rural development; and highly appreciate the contributions of Halotel Company, a telecommunications joint venture invested by Viettel Group in Tanzania, to the socio-economic development of the neighboring country.
The two sides agreed to further strengthen the relationship between the two Parties, creating a solid political foundation to promote bilateral relations. The leaders of the two Parties agreed to promote the exchange of theories and practices in national leadership; enhance cooperation in training and fostering officials; facilitate trade and investment activities; encourage cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, especially exchanges between the young generation and women; closely coordinate in international forums and multilateral mechanisms, for the benefit of each Party and each country, for peace, stability, cooperation and development.
