On the afternoon of June 22, Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with key enterprises, petroleum distributors and two thermal power plants. Attending the meeting were leaders of a number of relevant departments, branches, units and leaders of enterprises and petroleum distributors in the province.

Do not let the supply of gasoline be interrupted
As of June 2023, in Thai Binh province, there were 239 petrol stations belonging to 105 enterprises that had been granted certificates of eligibility to retail petrol by the Department of Industry and Trade; including 1 wholesale trader, 3 members of the wholesale trader, 10 distributors and 91 petrol retail enterprises. In the first 5 months of 2023, the wholesale trader and members of the wholesale trader supplied an estimated 212,143m3 , equivalent to 34.92%; the total supply output of the distributors was estimated at 288,316m3 , equivalent to 83.31% over the same period in 2022.
At the meeting, representatives of departments, branches, units and enterprises discussed and discussed solutions to remove difficulties so that petroleum business activities can take place smoothly, contributing to increasing budget revenue from petroleum sources of the province.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that recently, the Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant departments and branches to remove difficulties to help petroleum enterprises and traders develop production and business and ensure stable supply. Despite some difficulties, the province has not experienced any supply disruptions, meeting the consumption needs of people and businesses. In the coming time, he requested that businesses and traders coordinate to ensure stable supply, not affecting the business and consumption activities of people and businesses; and encourage the expansion of consumption areas in the provinces. Departments, branches and units flexibly apply legal regulations to create favorable conditions, guide businesses to implement administrative procedures and preferential mechanisms and policies of the State. In addition to resolving within their authority, the industry and trade, tax, and market management sectors should synthesize and report to central ministries and sectors to promptly resolve difficulties, create conditions for businesses to overcome difficulties, maintain stable gasoline supply activities, and actively contribute to the state budget.

Maintain stable electricity production
At the meeting, representatives of the Thai Binh Thermal Power Company and the Thai Binh 2 Oil and Gas Power Project Management Board reported on the production and business situation of the two thermal power plants. Accordingly, in the first 6 months of 2023, Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant generated 1.843 billion kWh of electricity; paid 227.45 billion VND to the state budget. In the plan for the last 6 months of the year, Thai Binh Thermal Power Company strives to generate more than 1.5 billion kWh of electricity, expected to pay 109.5 billion VND to the state budget. For Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant, the total electricity output in the first 6 months of the year is 630 million kWh; the production plan for the last 6 months of the year is nearly 3.7 billion kWh; expected to pay nearly 400 billion VND to the state budget.
Comrade Nguyen Quang Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the two thermal power plants in overcoming difficulties, maintaining the effective operation of the generators, contributing to supplementing the power source to serve the country's socio-economic development in the context of power shortage and high load.
Sharing the difficulties in production and business activities of the two thermal power plants, he requested departments and branches to closely coordinate with Thai Binh Thermal Power Company and Thai Binh 2 Oil and Gas Power Project Management Board to promptly resolve them; focusing on ensuring enough coal to operate the four units.
He hoped that Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant would speed up the overhaul progress, maintain power generation and increase the budget contribution to the State. Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant would maintain safe operation of the plant, generate stable power, maximize the output capacity of the 2 units, pay attention to land management, environmental protection, security and order, complete procedures related to tax policies and prioritize labor recruitment, creating jobs for people in the project area.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the provincial Party Committee and government always accompany and create the most favorable conditions for the two thermal power plants to operate safely and effectively.
