The delegation was led directly by Chief Inspector of the Ministry Le Thanh Liem.
Previously, in response to press reports that some theaters in Ho Chi Minh City had not implemented strict controls, allowing some audiences under 18 years old to watch Tran Thanh's film Mai , Mr. Le Thanh Liem said that the ministry's inspectors would immediately check and correct the violations.
At the same time, the ministry's inspectors signed an official dispatch to the inspectors of local cultural departments on strengthening inspection and examination of compliance with legal regulations on cinema at cinemas.
The document stated that, according to press reports, some theaters that are popularizing the movie Mai have lax ticket control, allowing many viewers under 18 years old to buy movie tickets.
Mai Movie has a movie rating popular for viewers aged 18 and over (T18).
According to the 2022 Cinema Law, for films released in theaters, cinema establishments must display the film rating in the following forms: on the cinema screen, website, online ticket sales application, direct ticket counter and other suitable forms.
At the National Cinema Center, Mr. Le Thanh Liem directly inspected ticket sales, guided customers to buy tickets, controlled the age of the audience at the ticket counter, cinema rooms, warned about labels on movie tickets and the announcement board of screenings...
Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , a representative of the ministry's inspectorate said: "After the National Cinema Center, the ministry's inspectorate will continue to inspect a number of other units."

He also added that to strengthen state management of cinema, the ministry's inspectorate has requested that the inspectors of provincial and municipal cultural departments strengthen inspection and examination of film dissemination in cinemas, ensuring that moviegoers are of the right age according to film classification.
If violations are detected, film establishments that distribute films in cinemas will be strictly handled according to regulations.
