In recent years, Phu Ly City Electricity has promoted the application of science and technology in production and business stages; focused on investing, repairing and renovating the power grid. Thanks to that, it has contributed to improving the quality of operations, providing safe and stable electricity to serve customers and reducing power loss.

In 2024, with the goal of reducing power loss, the City Power Company has focused on promptly replacing old equipment systems that do not meet technical requirements. Regularly maintain, repair, and clean medium-voltage cabinets, strengthen control of electrical equipment before putting them into operation; periodically replace meters according to plan, not allowing expired meters on the grid; review and promptly replace damaged and broken meters with a total of 273 cases, reducing losses by 92,161 kWh, with an amount of more than 213 million VND. Through electricity usage inspection activities, the unit has detected customers violating contracts and using electricity for the wrong purposes. Thereby, a record has been made to handle 17 cases of electricity usage violations, collecting 189.7 million VND. On the other hand, proactively handle contact points and steering points on lines 472, 473, 376, E3.5, etc. At the same time, regularly review and rotate transformers (MBA), and balance the phase of transformer stations (TSAs). In 2024, the City Power Company rotated 35 MBAs and balanced the phase of 233 TSAs, thereby preventing the MBAs and 0.4kV lines from being overloaded or out of phase, ensuring stable power supply for production and daily life of customers.

Phu Ly City strengthens measures to reduce electricity loss
Phu Ly City Electricity workers clear the 0.4kV power grid corridor behind the substations in Thanh Son commune, Kim Bang town, an area managed by the unit.

Along with that, the City Electricity has actively coordinated with all levels and sectors to deploy construction investment projects in the area. In particular, putting into operation 8 transformer stations with a total capacity of 2,140kVA, constructing, renovating and repairing the low-voltage grid with 6 items: T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6 Nam Tran Hung Dao transformer station; high school transformer station; line 479 E24.13, Tien Hiep 7.4 branch; 476 E3.5, Liem Chinh 3 branch, Liem Chung 1 branch; line 376 E3.5, gymnasium branch, Quynh Chan branch; repairing the low-voltage grid after Hung Dao village transformer station, lot 16, Chau Giang A; low-voltage grid after Tien Tan 3 transformer station, Bac Nguyen Viet Xuan, Bao Loc 2; Low voltage grid after Tien Tan 7 substation, Chau Giang and Thanh Binh 4. Focus on regular repair of 181 items with a total settlement value of more than 3 billion VND. Implementing the renovation of 0.4kV line with a length of 55.7km, reaching 96.5% of the volume, 22kV line with a length of 7.2km, reaching 100%; 35kV line with a length of 13.2km, reaching 84.6% of the volume. Accordingly, the rate of electricity loss by commodity has decreased by 0.11% compared to the assigned plan.

Mr. Luu Dai Nghia, Director of Phu Ly City Electricity, said: With the goal of reducing power loss to below 3.92%, in the immediate future, the City Electricity will continue to invest in construction and repair of assigned power projects, striving to achieve 100% of the plan. Urgently put anti-overload transformers into use to ensure stable power supply, especially during the hot season. Strengthen inspection, handle and quickly fix problems to soon put lines and equipment into operation. Especially lines with many customers, large loads, medium voltage lines, distribution transformers with high losses. In addition, the unit proposed to the Provincial Electricity Company to continue to pay attention to investing funds for repairing and upgrading power projects to avoid overloading of lines and transformer stations, especially distribution transformers with long power supply radius, large output, and voltage quality assurance.
