According to the Provincial Military Command, the province has issued over 2,500 enlistment orders to young men. Some localities have completed the issuance of military uniforms to young men leaving for military service. Localities have carefully planned and prepared all facilities and ceremonies for the military enlistment ceremony. The young men who received the orders are all conscious and determined to join the army.

In the 2024 military recruitment season, Ninh Giang district has over 100 young people volunteering to join the army. Among them are twin brothers Phung Van Manh and Phung Van Khoe in Dong Cao village, Dong Xuyen commune (Ninh Giang). The joy doubled when both brothers were selected for military service, joined the army this year and were honored to attend the Party sympathy class before joining the army. During Tet, their families were filled with the laughter of representatives of the local government, organizations, friends, and relatives coming to congratulate and encourage them. "Performing military service is the responsibility and sacred duty of the young generation. Therefore, I wish to join the army, following in the footsteps of my father and brother, fulfilling the sacred duty of youth to the Fatherland. Both brothers are qualified to join the army this time, so I feel very happy and excited waiting for the day to join the army," said Mr. Manh.

According to the Ninh Giang District Military Command, before, during and after the Lunar New Year, communes and towns in the district organized meetings, visited, grasped the thoughts and aspirations of young people and gave many gifts. Thereby, encouraging and motivating young people to enthusiastically join the army. Up to now, 100% of the district's young people who are eligible to join the army are in the mindset of "going when ordered".

Eager to join the army is also the feeling of Nguyen Van Ngoc in Phuong Son village, Hung Dao commune (Chi Linh city). Ngoc confided: "Joining the army has been my long-time dream. The time in the army will be a good opportunity for me to learn and improve many skills and knowledge to improve myself."

According to the Provincial Military Command, along with doing a good job of checking and managing the number of troops and the health status of young people before the enlistment date, the Military Service Councils of districts, towns and cities pay attention to implementing the military rear policy well, opening classes to foster awareness of the Party for outstanding young people, creating an exciting atmosphere towards the enlistment day. This year, districts, towns and cities plan to present over 2,000 gifts to young people joining the army, each worth from 300,000 to 1.5 million VND. In addition to the general gifts, some localities have established delegations to visit and present gifts to young people joining the army in difficult circumstances, and reward young people on temporary deferment who voluntarily write applications to join the army. On this occasion, all communes, wards and towns in the province also organize activities to meet and encourage young people to join the army.

High quality

In 2024, the province will hand over 2,500 male citizens (an increase of 100 people compared to 2023) to 12 focal units under the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 3. The quality of military recruitment this year has been improved. The proportion of young people with type 1 and type 2 health accounts for 73%; young people aged 18 to 21 accounts for 80%. Young people who have graduated from colleges and universities account for over 13% and the proportion of young people volunteering to join the army is also higher than last year.

To ensure the correct and sufficient delivery of young men to the receiving units, the Military Command of districts, towns and cities coordinates with localities to grasp the situation at the grassroots level and promptly handle any arising situations. Continue to promote propaganda and encouragement so that young men can confidently go on their missions.

Colonel Nguyen Trong Hung, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, said that the selection and call-up of citizens for military service this year continues to be organized effectively and methodically by localities. The stages and steps in military recruitment such as source review, preliminary selection, and medical examination are all in accordance with regulations. According to the plan, the military handover and reception of 12 districts, towns, and cities in the province will take place on February 25. 2,500 young people, representing tens of thousands of young people of the heroic Hai Duong province, rich in revolutionary traditions, will join the army. Among them, many people wrote volunteer applications, many people temporarily put aside their careers and personal feelings to fulfill their noble duty to the Fatherland.
