Beware of complications of digestive diseases
Speaking with VNN reporters, resident physician Tran Van Son, Department of Internal Medicine, Respiratory and Gastroenterology, said that diarrhea, digestive disorders, and food poisoning are often caused by bacteria such as E.coli, campylobacter, listeria, salmonella, botulinum, etc.
When patients consume these foods, bacteria will attack the digestive system, causing digestive disorders, intestinal infections, and more seriously, poisoning.
“Digestive tract infections are mainly transmitted through food. Organisms including yeast, bacteria, or parasites attack the body causing intestinal infections, which can easily lead to complications such as blood infections,” Dr. Son added.
Common symptoms of patients with digestive diseases who come here for examination include: Abdominal pain, loose stools, fever, vomiting, fatigue,... some patients also have sore throat, cough...
After about 2 days of being infected with the virus or bacteria, the patient may experience symptoms of vomiting, nausea, fever, and diarrhea many times, lasting for 3-10 days. If not examined and treated promptly, the patient may become dehydrated, lose electrolytes, and even be life-threatening if poisoned or severely infected.
