Buakaw Banchamek faced Chinese kickboxer Han Wenbao (27 years old) at the RWS event held in Rajadamnern (Bangkok, Thailand) on the evening of December 21.
Facing an opponent 15 years younger, Buakaw Banchamek still showed dominance and launched a series of powerful punches.
“Buakaw Banchamek came to the Rajadamnern ring at the age of 42, unleashing powerful punches, knees and kicks, creating an eye-catching match with Han Wenbao, a Chinese fighter, for three rounds. Buakaw Banchamek (born 1982) is a symbol of Muay Thai and Kickboxing in the world. Besides Muay Thai championship belts, Buakaw Banchamek is also famous for his 2 K-1 World MAX kickboxing championships in 2004 and 2006.
On October 19, Buakaw Banchamek drew with Japanese boxer Kouzi Tanaka in the first boxing match of his career.
Meanwhile, Han Wenbao (born 1997) is a famous Chinese kickboxer. In 2023, this boxer won the 67 kg championship of the Wulinfeng (WLF) World Tournament China. Also in 2023, Combatpress magazine ranked Han Wenbao 10th in the Top strongest kickboxers in the super featherweight class.
With his victory over Han Wenbao, Buakaw continues to maintain his good record against Chinese fighters. The Thai boxer has defeated Chinese opponents such as Sun Tao, Xu Yan, Zhou Zhipeng, Zhang Chunyu, Li Chengxiang, Yuan Bing, Gu Hui, Liu Hainan, Kong Lingfeng, Wang Weihao, Tian Xin, Wang Yanlong and most recently Han Wenbao.
