On the morning of December 3, under the chairmanship of comrades: Ngo Van Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, State Auditor General, member of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; Nguyen Doan Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the regular inspection and supervision delegation of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity had a working session with the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.

The report on the results of leadership and direction of the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity (PCTNTC) from July 1, 2023 to present; key tasks in the coming time, presented by comrade Nguyen Ngoc Tien, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee, stated: In the past time, the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity continued to be promoted comprehensively, systematically and achieved many important results. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee have directed Party committees, authorities, agencies and units to seriously grasp, promptly and fully implement the Party's policies and regulations and the State's laws on this field; promptly concretize policies and solutions according to the conclusions and directions of the Central Committee.

The propaganda work on anti-corruption has been promoted; preventive solutions have been deployed synchronously and smoothly from the province to the grassroots level; the work of detecting, combating and handling corruption and negativity has achieved clear results, creating positive changes in anti-corruption work in the area, contributing to strengthening the work of building a clean and strong Party and political system, maintaining stability, and consolidating the trust of cadres, party members and people in the leadership of local Party committees and authorities.

In addition to the achieved results, the report also pointed out some difficulties, obstacles and limitations in the work of PCTNTC; proposed 6 key tasks and solutions in the coming time.

The members of the working delegation expressed their agreement and consensus with the report of Thanh Hoa province, the information and data were very specific and convincing.

However, opinions also suggested that it is necessary to analyze and evaluate more deeply the achieved results, compare them with the planned goals and targets; at the same time, clarify the causes of the limitations and difficulties, and propose solutions to overcome them. Members of the Provincial Steering Committee discussed and clarified the contents raised by the working group; at the same time, recommended that the Central Steering Committee promptly issue regulations on the authority and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, and leaders in the work of preventing and combating waste; issue guidelines on criteria for identifying acts and manifestations of waste to focus on effectively fighting and preventing; provide specific instructions on handling assets related to corruption, waste, and negativity after the conclusion of inspections, audits or in the execution of judgments; requested that the State Audit Office of Region 11 strengthen coordination with the internal affairs agencies of the province to effectively implement the coordination mechanism for preventing, detecting, and handling corruption and negativity.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Doan Anh informed the delegation about some outstanding situations and results of the province in various fields, and affirmed that the work of anti-corruption has made an important contribution to the overall results of the province in recent times. He sincerely thanked the Central Steering Committee, Central Committees and branches, including the State Audit, for their attention and support to the province, especially in implementing anti-corruption work; and hoped to continue to receive support and guidance in the coming time so that Thanh Hoa can effectively carry out its tasks, contributing to building a truly clean and strong Party and political system from the province to the grassroots, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

Concluding the working session, State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan, head of the working delegation, congratulated the achievements and results that Thanh Hoa province has achieved in recent years, becoming a bright spot of the whole country in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, gradually moving towards the goal of becoming a model province as desired by President Ho Chi Minh during his lifetime. The head of the working delegation also highly appreciated the comprehensive results that the province has achieved in the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, including effective actions that Thanh Hoa has taken ahead of the whole country, such as the issuance of the Conclusion of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on strengthening the work of integrity education for cadres, party members, civil servants, and public employees...

Emphasizing the direction of General Secretary To Lam: Preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity is a regular, continuous and unceasing task, with no forbidden areas or exceptions; preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity aims to create a driving force to promote sustainable socio-economic development, strengthen and consolidate the trust of cadres, party members and people in the regime, in the leadership of the Party and the State; the State Auditor General requested Thanh Hoa province to continue to focus on leading and directing the effective implementation of 6 key tasks and solutions identified by the Provincial Steering Committee. Along with regular tasks, it is necessary to pay attention to the prevention and combat of corruption, waste and negativity in the process of implementing new and important tasks, such as summarizing Resolution 18 and developing a plan to arrange and streamline the apparatus; Organize Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term... Strengthen propaganda and education work, improve integrity; strictly implement inspection and supervision mechanisms. Promote the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and the role of the People in preventing, detecting, fighting and handling violations of corruption, waste and negativity.
