Thanh Hoa is ready to organize a live television broadcast to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Gathering Train.

On the afternoon of August 27, Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a conference to listen to and give opinions on the organization of the Live TV Bridge Program to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Gathering Train (1954-2024).

According to the report at the conference, up to now, the preparation work for organizing the live television broadcast of the 70th Anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Assembly Train has been carried out in accordance with the assigned tasks and ensured progress.

Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City Television took the lead in developing the content and script of the live TV program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Reunification Train. By August 26, the unit had designed and completed the stage, sound and lighting at the Memorial Area for Southern compatriots and soldiers who regrouped to the North in 1954 in Sam Son City; developed a detailed plan for the arrangement of the delegate area and seating area with a scale of 800 seats; coordinated with relevant units to install hotline telephone lines and fiber optic lines connecting Thanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City Television. Technical conditions, mobile television equipment, transmission lines and personnel to implement the program have been fully prepared.

Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station has developed a propaganda plan for the Live TV Bridge Program to Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Gathering Train on the Station's radio and television channels and digital infrastructure. Assign a focal point to coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City Television Station to carry out propaganda work, meet with witnesses participating in the bridge, arrange personnel, technical equipment, mobile TV vehicles, and other supporting conditions.

Relevant units and localities have planned and developed an implementation plan, ensuring conditions such as reception and service at the Memorial Site for Southern compatriots and soldiers who gathered in the North in 1954 in Sam Son City; places to eat, rest and work for the program implementation team at the bridge point; security and order during the preparation, rehearsal and event; ensuring food hygiene and safety; arranging medical staff, ambulances, etc.

At the conference, delegates reported on the progress of assigned tasks, proposed some backup plans and some contents that will continue to be implemented.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung emphasized: The Live TV Bridge Program to Celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Gathering Train is a major political event that demonstrates the stature, historical value, great and profound significance, and lessons on the spirit of national solidarity of the gathering event in 1954; demonstrating major policies and guidelines on management, treatment, use, training and fostering of cadres and soldiers, both contributing to the cause of building socialism in the North and preparing forces for the struggle to liberate the South.

The live TV program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Agreement and the Assemblage Train (1954-2024) is scheduled to be held at 6:00 p.m. on September 1, 2024, lasting about 120-140 minutes, and will be broadcast live on Ho Chi Minh City Television, Thanh Hoa Provincial Radio and Television, Dong Thap Provincial Radio and Television and domestic Radio and Television stations. The program will be held at three locations: The memorial site for Southern compatriots and soldiers who gathered in the North in 1954 in Sam Son City (Thanh Hoa); The National Historical Site of the 1954 Assemblage Site in Cao Lanh City (Dong Thap); The campus of the Monument of Heroes and Martyrs of the Unnumbered Train, Brigade 125 - Naval Region 2, Cat Lai Ward, Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City).
