Thanh Hoa province currently has over 700 hectares of intensive shrimp farming area applying high technology. Of which, there are over 200 hectares of white-leg shrimp farming applying high technology in greenhouses and net houses, an increase of 50 hectares compared to the end of 2023.

According to the assessment of the Department of Fisheries, raising white-leg shrimp in greenhouses has a success rate of up to 80%, short farming time, and guaranteed shrimp quality. At the same time, this is a suitable choice to overcome unfavorable factors in climate and water environment and bring high economic efficiency to producers.
