Among the three teams competing for the Premier League title, Man City took the field first in round 33. Coach Pep Guardiola and his team did not miss the opportunity to temporarily take the top spot to put pressure on their two competitors. As expected, Man City won 3 points in a completely overwhelming match against the relegation group team Luton Town.
It took just over a minute for the Etihad home team to open the scoring. Erling Haaland's shot hit defender Daiki Hashioka before going into the visitors' goal.

Man City attacked in droves afterwards, pushing Luton Town deep to defend their penalty area. The visitors defended with a large number of players in front of their goal, but Man City players still kept the ball and coordinated well.
The home team missed several chances, the most regrettable of which was Matheus Nunes' shot hitting the post. Man City completely dominated, leaving Luton Town without a single shot in the first half.
The game did not change much after the break. Man City played slowly but still put pressure on Luton Town's defense. The goal for the home team was inevitable.
Mateo Kovacic made it 2-0 with a beautiful volley. Haaland scored from the penalty spot after Jeremy Doku was brought down by an opposing defender in the box.
Luton Town unexpectedly pulled one back thanks to a mistake from the home team. Nunes lost possession just outside the box and Ross Barkley took advantage to score. However, Man City quickly restored their three-goal lead thanks to Doku.
Minutes before the end of the match, Josko Gvardiol scored the final goal to make it 5-1. Man City won 3 points and temporarily surpassed Arsenal and Liverpool.
