In September 2024, the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network International Conference will take place in Cao Bang.

The conference is expected to take place from September 7 to 15, 2024, with many important events and activities to exchange and share experiences in implementing effective solutions to build and develop Global Geoparks.

At the conference, it is expected that about 1,000 domestic and international delegates will attend the events.

During the conference, there will be a session of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council with the participation of delegates from many countries; a session of the Coordinating Board of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network in the Asia-Pacific region.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province will work with embassies of countries attending the conference to introduce local potential and strengths and discuss the possibility of expanding coordination, cooperation and development.

The conference program will also include the 20th Anniversary Celebration (2004-2024) of the establishment of the Global Geopark Network; seminars sharing experiences and solutions for building, developing and preserving the values ​​of Global Geoparks; delegates visiting and conducting field surveys of sightseeing routes in Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark...

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, Chairman of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, emphasized that this is an important international event taking place in the locality. Thereby, it contributes to learning and exchanging experiences in building and developing the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark.

At the same time, through organizing the conference, we also contribute to promoting and widely introducing the values ​​and beautiful landscapes of Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark and Vietnam in general to international friends and tourists.

Therefore, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province requested that relevant sectors and localities, in addition to the general plan of Cao Bang province, need to develop their own detailed plans and prepare carefully to ensure the successful organization of the conference and achieve the set goals.
