Akrit Pran Jaswal (1993) is an Indian medical prodigy who was able to write fluently at the age of 2. At the age of 4, he read books about medicine in depth such as: Surgery, anesthesia, anatomy, physiology, cancer... At the age of 6, Akrit began to study the steps of surgery.

At the age of 7, Akrit performed surgery to separate a severely burned finger from an 8-year-old girl. Unable to pay the hospital bill, the patient's family sought Akrit's help. The surgery was performed by the medical prodigy in 1 hour.

After the successful surgery, Akrit's name became known to many people. He became the 'youngest surgeon in the world'.

At the age of 8, he studied cancer by reading books and searching online. "My treatment method is aimed at changing cancer-causing genes by activating enzymes or directly 'acting' with genotoxic drugs," said the Indian medical prodigy.

Akrit Pran Jaswal, a 7-year-old Indian medical prodigy, performs his first surgery.

With his natural talent, at the age of 11, Akrit was admitted directly to Punjab University (India). He became the youngest freshman in the history of the school. At the age of 13, the boy was invited to England to exchange ideas with scientists about advanced medical research. Here, he shared oral gene therapy based on theoretical research.

Professors highly appreciate this method, however, to achieve accuracy, more research time is needed. As for himself, Akrit said that even if he fails, he will still research to the end.

Sharing the reason, the medical prodigy said: "Growing up, I witnessed many cancer patients suffering because they did not have enough money for treatment. Now, I want to use my intelligence to ease their physical pain. This is also the motivation that makes me passionate about medicine and want to find a treatment method."

While studying and researching, at the age of 17, Akrit graduated from university with a Gold Medal. This was not only a prestigious gift for excellent students, but also a motivation to encourage him to continue developing himself and contributing to medicine.

Currently, Akrit Pran Jaswal is a cancer treatment researcher in India.

Pursuing the path of finding cancer treatments, Akrit chose to study for a master's degree in Applied Chemistry in 2010. Two years later, he graduated with a master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK). It was not until 2016 that Akrit pursued his doctorate and graduated at the age of 28.

Since 2021, he has been working at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) as a researcher. Akrit said that joining IITK has been his childhood dream. In addition, he has also collaborated with the Indian Institute of Science and Technology (InStem) to conduct other research.

Akrit is involved in a research project to develop a handheld i-CAT device that uses ultrasound to detect early-stage skin cancer. The device is still in the testing phase. He hopes that in the future, the i-CAT can replace traditional diagnostic methods.

At the same time, Akrit is also researching immunotherapy for cancer treatment. This method focuses on stimulating the body's immune system to attack cancer cells. With his inherent intelligence and talent, he is expected to make significant contributions to the medical field.

12-year-old prodigy graduates from college, proves Albert Einstein 'wrong' US- William Maillis finished high school at age 9 and earned a bachelor's degree 3 years later. He aims to get a doctorate by age 18, using science to refute some theories of scientists Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.
