After many days of competition, the Regional round of the National Youth Informatics Competition has just officially ended. The National Youth Informatics Competition has been organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union since 1995 with the Center for Development of Science, Technology and Young Talents as the permanent agency of the Organizing Committee.

This is a contest to encourage young people to study, be creative, practice skills to solve real-life problems, and at the same time discover IT talents in schools, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources to serve national digital transformation and national development.

After 30 years of organization, the National Youth Informatics Competition has become a traditional activity in the field of information technology for children and teenagers, annually attracting tens of thousands of students of all levels nationwide to participate.

In 2024, the National Youth Informatics Competition recorded a record number of applications for the Regional Round with 1,718 candidates (an increase of nearly 150% compared to 2023). Of which, 967 candidates were from teams of 46 provincial and municipal Youth Unions and 751 were independent candidates.

The Regional Round of the National Youth Informatics Competition takes place in two forms: live and online presentations from July 6 and ends on July 10.

According to the Competition Rules, the Organizing Committee will consider and award Certificates to contestants with good results in the Regional Round. Each region will select 10 contestants from each group A, B, 8 contestants from group C2, 8 teams from group C1 and each creative product group D1, D2, D3 will select 10 best products to participate in the National Final Round in Hanoi in early August.

Online trials have helped the State budget save more than 96 billion VND in a very short period of time.
