Visiting and giving gifts to relatives and soldiers participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on May 2, Comrade Le Van Binh, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee visited and presented gifts to relatives of soldiers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign: Mr. Luu Xuan Thuan, Ward 5, Tan Son Town (Ninh Son) and Mr. Han Ngoc Trai, Dac Nhon 3 Village, Nhon Son Commune (Ninh Son).

At the places he visited, the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee burned incense to pay tribute to the soldiers who were being worshiped at their homes; kindly inquired about the health and lives of the soldiers' families, and expressed gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the soldiers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, contributing with the whole country to the Dien Bien Phu victory "famous in five continents, shaking the earth". He affirmed that the Party, the State and the province always respect and acknowledge the contributions and sacrifices of the soldiers and their families for the independence and freedom of the nation. He hoped that the soldiers' families would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, strive to study, work, and be exemplary in patriotic emulation movements in the locality, contributing to building the homeland to be increasingly developed and prosperous. He suggested that local Party committees and authorities continue to do a good job in "repaying gratitude" and military rear work for families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions in the area.

* On the same day, authorized by comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, comrade Lam Dong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board, visited and presented gifts to the families of heroic martyrs, Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign living in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City. Accompanying them were representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Youth Union, and the Provincial Military Command.

Visiting Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Diep, a Dien Bien soldier, currently living in Quarter 4, Kinh Dinh Ward and Mr. Nguyen Van Thien, a frontline laborer, living in Quarter 1, Dai Son Ward; the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board inquired about the health and family life of the Dien Bien soldiers; expressing his joy that despite their advanced age, the elders were still clear-minded and living happily with their children and grandchildren. Listening and being moved by the stories about the extremely fierce, arduous but heroic fighting time of the veterans, the comrade expressed his respect and gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the Dien Bien soldiers and frontline laborers who directly participated in the resistance war against the French, contributing to the Dien Bien Phu victory that "resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world". He hoped that the elders and their families would continue to promote the fine tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", maintain the spirit of "Dien Bien soldiers" of the past, and always be a shining example for the younger generation to follow. At the same time, it is recommended that sectors and localities continue to pay attention to and carry out well the work of "repaying gratitude" to families of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services to the revolution, especially families of martyrs, soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers participating in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
