NDO - Visiting the General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum in the first days of the new year, everyone present felt nostalgic. This is also the occasion to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the General's birth (January 1, 1914 - January 1, 2024).

The Museum building was built from October 2021 to June 2022, with an architectural design based on the prototype of the house at 34 Ly Nam De, where the General and his family used to live, based on the memories and deep memories of family members from 1958 to 1986. Inside the Museum, there are still many old artifacts that the General used.

The museum has a total area of ​​over 500m2, of which the exhibition area is about 200m2, organized according to eight main themes: Homeland - Central Revolution; Viet Bac; Army building; Building peace in the North; Southern Revolution; July 6; The hearts of those who stayed; Family - The continuing journey. Besides, there are sub-themes: Fire and smoke of Binh Tri Thien; Agriculture, Foreign Affairs, Culture and Arts, Sports, "Guerrilla General"... Thereby, highlighting the portrait of General Nguyen Chi Thanh, a loyal communist soldier, a talented leader with strategic vision.

On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the General's birth, many officers, soldiers and visitors came to the museum in emotion.

Along with a system of more than 300 photos and more than 150 paper documents reflecting important milestones in the General's revolutionary activities, the Museum also introduces to readers 220 unique artifacts, containing many imprints and memories of General Nguyen Chi Thanh.

Through each topic, image, and artifact, viewers have the opportunity to understand more fully and deeply about a talented general, a Director of the General Political Department with a breakthrough mindset in building a regular army, and also a general of the rural construction movement. From the imprint of "Gio Dai Phong", "Co Ba Nhat" to the contributions in the fields of culture, arts, and sports, all illuminate the portrait of a general close to the people, always devoted to work, the revolution, and the people.

Also on January 1, 2024, representatives of units and organizations offered incense in memory of General Vo Chi Thanh at the Museum.

On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of General Nguyen Chi Thanh's birth, special artifacts were also donated to the Museum.

This time, the two artifacts presented include: A portrait relief with the General's instructions and a cup for the The Cong team - the first team in national A1 football in 1981.

Previously, on September 23, 1954, General Nguyen Chi Thanh signed the decision to establish the The Cong sports delegation. The two words The Cong here are the abbreviation for "Army Sports Working Group".

According to Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong, former player of The Cong Club, donating artifacts to the General Museum shows the affection of The Cong officers, soldiers and players for the General.
