Recently, the Football Association of Thailand announced the list of players summoned to prepare for FIFA Day in June.
Coach Polking determined to help Thailand improve its ranking on FIFA rankings
This time, Thailand chose to play friendly matches with two relatively weak opponents, Taiwan and Hong Kong, with the goal of increasing its points on the FIFA rankings and at the same time narrowing the gap with Vietnam.
“After the list is announced, I hope the players will maintain their form. We have one more week to prepare and we will gradually increase the intensity of training.
We try to take good care of the players and help the clubs by not letting players get injured.
Last time in UAE we didn't have a very good result, but this time we will do better. Our target this time is to win both matches.
I hope the fans will cheer for the Thai team. That will be the motivation for us to compete,” said coach Polking.
According to plan, the Golden Temple team will face Taiwan on June 16 and 3 days later will compete with Hong Kong.
After 2 defeats on the previous FIFA Day, Thailand has dropped 3 places on the FIFA rankings (114th in the world).
Therefore, this time, the "War Elephants" are very determined to win both matches against Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Madam Pang even announced that she will return as head of the Thai delegation on the upcoming FIFA Day to help the team achieve the best results.
“I will do everything in my power to help the Thai team achieve good results in the upcoming friendly matches,” said Madam Pang.
