Thai Binh is about to have an automobile assembly factory with an investment capital of 170 million USD.
The project has an investment capital of nearly 170 million USD, with a capacity of 75,000 vehicles/year. When put into operation, it will create direct and indirect jobs for 8,000 workers.
Recently, in Hanoi, a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement took place between the Management Board of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks of Thai Binh province and the consortium of investors Tasco - Geely Joint Stock Company in implementing the automobile assembly plant project in Tien Hai Industrial Park.

The project has a total investment of nearly 170 million USD, with a production capacity of 75,000 vehicles/year. When put into operation, the factory will create direct jobs for 1,000 workers and about 7,000 indirect workers, creating a large source of revenue for the local budget, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
The consortium of investors commits to implementing the project in accordance with the law and regulations of the province.
Highly appreciating the investors' decision to invest in the automobile assembly plant project in Thai Binh province, Mr. Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, said that with the strengths and long-term business strategy orientation of the two enterprises, this cooperation is very correct and promises new successes.
In addition, investment projects in Thai Binh Economic Zone have large land funds, convenient transportation connections by road, air, and waterway, abundant human resources, as well as many attractive and practical incentive mechanisms and policies. In particular, Thai Binh will create the most favorable conditions, including accompanying and supporting investors with quick and effective investment procedures so that the project can be implemented as soon as possible.

At the signing ceremony, leaders of Tasco Auto Joint Stock Company and Geely Auto introduced the general information about the enterprise and the future investment and business orientation. Geely has a market capitalization of more than 72 billion USD, present in more than 80 countries around the world. This is also the first Chinese enterprise expected to sell 16 million cars by 2024.
For Tasco Auto Joint Stock Company, it is a company with strengths in automobile services and smart traffic infrastructure in Vietnam. Currently, Tasco Auto is a distributor of Lynk&Co brand vehicles and distributes products of 15 car brands in the Vietnamese market.
