Nam Luc Waterfall originates from an underground stream of Hai Ho stream, Ta Ngao commune. The stream runs through many mountain ranges.
Arriving at Nam Luc 2 village, Phang So Lin commune, about 40km from the center of Sin Ho district (Lai Chau), the water flows down to form Nam Luc waterfall.
With its wild and majestic beauty, Nam Luc waterfall is like a treasure in the heart of the Sin Ho plateau, sought after by many trekking enthusiasts. The waterfall is covered by primeval forests and rich flora and fauna, creating a beautiful natural picture.
Nam Luc Waterfall is nearly 1,000m long, divided into many different levels ranging from 15m to 25m, the longest level can be up to 50m. The successive levels of waterfalls pour down white, soft like silk strips in the green of the great forest.

At the lower levels, the waterfall has a poetic beauty. Sometimes gentle, sometimes fierce with streams of water pouring straight down from above onto the rocks. There are sections where the water even flows over large rocks, surprising visitors.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy (Lao Cai) said that she is a trekking enthusiast, she has been to many places, conquered many mountains. When standing before the majestic beauty of Nam Luc waterfall, the female tourist feels so small.
“After taking a car from Lai Chau, I continued to hire a motorbike taxi to go another 3km for about 25 minutes. Then, I walked for 2 hours, including 30 minutes by road and 1.5 hours climbing along the stream,” Thuy shared.
The road to Nam Luc waterfall is not easy, but when the female tourist sees the waterfall pouring down, all the fatigue on the way seems to disappear.
“I couldn’t take my eyes off the waterfall, this was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had. I will definitely come back here again,” said Ms. Thuy.
