On October 10, the Da Nang Mobile Forest Ranger and Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting Team said that it had handed over three rare wild animals to the Da Nang Forest Ranger Department for health monitoring.

The three animals include: Burmese buzzard (hawk, scientific name Spilornis cheela) weighing 1.5 kg; Javan pangolin (scientific name Manis javanica) weighing 1.2 kg; White-bellied grebe (scientific name Anthracoceros albirostris) weighing 0.5 kg.

Among them, a wild pangolin was discovered by Mr. Ngo Van Luu (residing in Hoa Khuong commune, Hoa Vang district) straying in his garden. When he learned that this was an endangered, rare wild animal that needed to be preserved, Mr. Luu contacted the authorities to hand it over.

The Burmese kite was voluntarily handed over to the authorities by Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Luong (residing in Hoa Tho Tay ward, Cam Le district).

A white-bellied woodpecker appeared in Mr. Ngo Tat Hung's garden (residing in Khe Trung ward, Cam Le district). Mr. Hung captured it and handed it over to the authorities.
