This morning (October 19), Nguyen Thuy Linh had the opening match of the 2023 Denmark Open, a Super 750 World Tour tournament of the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

Before attending the tournament in Denmark, Thuy Linh rose to 24th place in the world thanks to her performance in the quarterfinals of the Finnish Open. Thuy Linh's opponent in this match is Taiwanese player Hsu Wen Chi, ranked 22nd in the world.

In set 1, Thuy Linh dominated and with extremely powerful smashes, Vietnam's number one female tennis player led 18-13 and maintained this advantage to win 21-15.

In set 2, Hsu Wen Chi had a moment of leading 11-8 but Thuy Linh quickly put pressure and tied the score at 12-12.

In a tense match, Thuy Linh continuously had tricky shots to win a thrilling 21-19 victory.

A 2-0 victory over Hsu Wen Chi after 39 minutes brought Thuy Linh into the second round to meet Han Yue, the Chinese player ranked 8th in the world.

After the 19th ASIAD, Thuy Linh participated in 5 consecutive international tournaments with the goal of entering the world's top 20. After the tournaments in Finland and Denmark, she continued to participate in tournaments in France (Super 750 World Tour), Germany (Super 300 World Tour), and Korea (Super 300 World Tour).
