During its visit to Indonesia from July 17-20, the sailing ship 286-Le Quy Don of the Vietnam Navy will have many foreign affairs activities and exchanges with the Indonesian Navy.

On July 17, sailing ship 286-Le Quy Don of the Vietnam People's Navy arrived in Surabaya, starting a visit and exchange with the Indonesian Navy combined with long-distance sea training for officers, soldiers and students on board.
The delegation includes 120 officers, soldiers and students of the Vietnam Naval Academy.
Welcoming the Le Quy Don sailing ship at the Surabaya naval port, on the Indonesian side were Navy Colonel Muhammad Taufik, Deputy Commander of Operations of the Surabaya Naval Base, and representatives of the following units: Fleet 2, Indonesian Navy, and Surabaya Naval Base.
On the Vietnamese side, there was the Defense Attaché in Indonesia, Colonel Nguyen Tuan Duc, and representatives of Vietnamese agencies in Indonesia.
Speaking at the welcoming ceremony, Deputy Commander of Operations of Surabaya Naval Base Muhammad Taufik welcomed the Le Quy Don Sailing Ship delegation to Indonesia and emphasized that the visit would be an opportunity to promote cooperation and exchange between the two navies.
Head of the delegation, Deputy Director of the Naval Academy Nguyen Dinh Giang expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome of the Indonesian Navy and believed that the visit would contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and trust between the two countries' armies and navies.
Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, the Indonesian delegation visited the ship and interacted with officers, soldiers and students on board.
During the visit to Indonesia from July 17-20, the delegation is expected to have many foreign affairs activities and exchanges with the Indonesian Navy.
The visit is a valuable opportunity for officers, soldiers and students on board to practice, improve their professional knowledge, combat readiness, and master weapons; interact with officers and students of the Indonesian Navy, learn and explore the culture and history of the country and people of Indonesia in general and the locality in particular.
This is the second time sailing ship 286-Le Quy Don has visited Indonesia, after visiting Jakarta in 2019.
