In 2024, Turn Off the Lights, Turn On the Ideas will continue to be organized with the support of 3 other foreign NGOs working in the environmental field: WildAct, GreenHub and PanNature. The program carries old messages but with a new and creative way of conveying the story of garbage collection, classification and recycling.
The Turn Off the Lights, Turn On the Ideas 2024 campaign will be implemented in 4 phases: Phase 1 - Educate/Awareness; Phase 2 - Action; Phase 3 - Sharing and Phase 4 - Maintain. Many activities will be implemented such as: stating the current situation; orienting solutions; spreading photo sets and propaganda clips via social networks; maintaining garbage collection and sorting stations; maintaining recycling workshops, maintaining support for businesses and recycling organizations; displaying recycled products, etc.
The Organizing Committee representative hopes that the program will contribute to the national goals of implementing regulations on waste classification at source, officially applied from December 31, 2024. At the same time, all profits from the campaign will be used to build controlled public waste classification and collection points, supporting effective waste recycling activities of organizations and businesses.
