According to a quick report from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the 2023 summer-autumn crop, the whole province planted 44,568/44,891 hectares of rice, reaching 99.3% of the plan. The estimated yield is 50.28 quintals/ha (equivalent to the 2022 summer-autumn crop), the estimated output is 224,093 tons. The preliminary total planting area of upland crops in the whole province is 9,778/10,295 hectares, reaching 94.98% of the plan.
As of September 5, the whole province has harvested 18,306/44,568 hectares of summer-autumn rice (reaching 41.2% of the area) . In addition, some types of upland crops are also in the harvest stage.

Regarding fruit trees, Phuc Trach grapefruit is in the main harvest season, currently, the harvest output is about 37.94% (about 7,980/21,037 tons), the estimated yield is 11.5 tons/ha. Oranges are in the stage of strong growth in fruit weight and entering the ripening period.
Thach Ha district alone has planted 7,495 hectares, of which 2,807 hectares have been harvested so far, reaching nearly 38% of the total area; the estimated yield is 52 quintals/ha. Can Loc district has planted 8,999 hectares, of which 3,182 hectares have been harvested so far, reaching 35.4% of the total area, with an estimated yield of 53.1 quintals/ha.
In the summer-autumn crop of 2023, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development established a team and inspected 50 facilities, taking a total of 38 samples including: 21 plant variety samples, 17 fertilizer samples for quality testing. Analysis results: 37/38 samples met quality standards; 1 fertilizer sample did not meet quality standards and was administratively fined VND 22.8 million. The Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection inspected 13 establishments trading in fertilizers, pesticides, and plant varieties. As a result, 13/13 establishments strictly complied with the provisions of the law. |

Especially for rice, the focus is on quick harvesting, with the motto of harvesting as soon as the rice is ripe; strive to basically complete the summer-autumn rice harvest before September 15, avoiding damage caused by rain and floods.
Mobilize maximum human resources (youth union, militia, women's union...) and machinery to help people harvest; monitor and promptly prevent unhealthy competition over harvesters.
Localities are speeding up the summer-autumn rice harvest.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested units and localities to establish working groups to direct localities to focus on harvesting summer-autumn rice and deploying winter-spring crop production promptly and effectively with the viewpoint of multi-crop, multi-season, avoiding unfavorable weather; striving to achieve both area, productivity and output.
At the same time, review and upgrade drying facilities in the area to prepare conditions to dry rice for people in the event of floods to minimize post-harvest losses. Proactively connect with organizations and individuals to consume rice and other agricultural products for people.
