The planning of Thai Binh province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, has just been approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1735/QD-TTg, dated December 29, 2023. According to the planning scheme, the province will focus on investing and strongly developing the system of industrial clusters, tourist areas and building the province into one of the logistics centers of the Red River Delta.

Dong Hai Industrial Cluster (Quynh Phu) contributes to promoting local industrial development.

Specifically, the province will develop 67 industrial clusters with a total area of about 4,198 hectares, distributed in districts across the province. Form a number of specialized industrial clusters and production industrial clusters in the direction of industry linkage, regional linkage inside and outside the province. In addition, a research and training area will be formed in Quynh Phu district with a scale of about 1,000 hectares towards becoming a scientific research and training center of the region and the whole country.

Regarding the tourism development plan, the province focuses on attracting investment in developing tourist areas: Con Vanh - Con Thu golf course resort in Thai Binh Economic Zone, Tien Hai district; Con Den eco-resort in Thai Binh Economic Zone, Thai Thuy district; Dong Chau coastal town tourist area in Dong Minh commune, Dong Hoang commune in Thai Binh Economic Zone, Tien Hai district; eco-tourism, resort and entertainment areas in the mangrove forest areas of Thuy Xuan, Thuy Hai, Thuy Truong communes... At the same time, the province mobilizes resources to develop a system of concentrated commercial areas, general service areas, trade centers, supermarkets, specialized stores, convenience stores... in urban centers, new urban areas and concentrated residential areas. By 2030, Thai Binh strives to establish at least 6 logistics service centers in Thai Binh city and districts: Thai Thuy, Tien Hai, Hung Ha, Kien Xuong, Quynh Phu to serve economic development.
