On the morning of December 29, comrades: Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Affairs; Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negative Affairs chaired the conference to review internal affairs, anti-corruption, negative affairs and judicial reform in 2023, and deploy key tasks in 2024. In 2023, Party committees and organizations at all levels have thoroughly grasped and promptly implemented the Party's viewpoints and policies, the State's laws on internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-negativity and judicial reform. The coordination between agencies, units and localities in forecasting and grasping the situation at the grassroots level has been increasingly close and proactive, contributing to improving the effectiveness of advising Party committees and authorities in leading, directing and promptly resolving emerging security and order incidents. The fight against, prevention and control of crimes has achieved good results; the number of cases related to social order and many types of crimes have been controlled and reduced. Sectors in the internal affairs sector have focused on investigating, prosecuting and strictly trying corruption cases and serious, complicated cases and incidents that are of public concern. The work of receiving citizens, handling complaints, denunciations, petitions and reflections from citizens has received attention, many cases have been resolved right at the grassroots level. The work of contact and dialogue between leaders of Party committees and authorities at all levels with the people has been strengthened. The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been led, directed and implemented with more specific solutions. After 1 year of operation, the Provincial Steering Committee for Prevention and Combating Corruption and Negativity has become routine, proactively bringing complicated cases and cases of public concern to the Provincial Steering Committee for monitoring and leading and directing strict handling, gaining the consensus and support of public opinion and people. Party committees, party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, relevant agencies and units have also organized to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement the tasks of judicial reform according to their assigned functions and tasks, in accordance with the actual situation of the agencies and units. The organization and apparatus of judicial agencies continue to be arranged in a streamlined direction, operating effectively and efficiently. The activities of the Provincial Judicial Reform Steering Committee are maintained in a disciplined and effective manner.

At the conference, delegates discussed and analyzed issues of public concern, people's recommendations for competent agencies to resolve; the current situation and results in the work of receiving citizens, handling petitions, complaints and denunciations of citizens. Delegates also informed and assessed the situation of the people; potential problems of security and order; the fight against and prevention of crime; backlogs in resolving policies and regimes, land management; leadership capacity of Party committees and authorities at the grassroots level; forecasted the situation in the coming time, proposed solutions to solve common existing problems to avoid hot spots and complicated problems...

In his concluding remarks, Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity, basically agreed with the assessments of the results achieved in internal affairs, anti-corruption, anti-negativity and judicial reform in 2023, and the key tasks in 2024. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of all levels and sectors in performing assigned tasks; in which they paid attention to promptly resolving complicated issues that arose; strengthened dialogue to resolve people's opinions and recommendations; thereby creating an atmosphere of excitement, solidarity, consensus and trust in society, maintaining political security and social order and safety in the area, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks in 2023.

The Provincial Party Secretary also pointed out the shortcomings and limitations in internal affairs, corruption prevention and control, especially subjective causes, requiring departments, branches, localities, especially leaders of Party committees and authorities at all levels to seriously learn from experience, focus on thoroughly and decisively resolving existing problems, maintaining stability of the situation, and not allowing more "hot spots" and complications to arise. He emphasized that 2024 is a very important year, the year to accelerate the implementation of the remaining tasks of the 2020-2025 term, while preparing for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term. Given the development requirements of the province and the practical issues that arise, the requirements and tasks for internal affairs, corruption prevention and control, and judicial reform are very heavy. Therefore, all levels and sectors need to focus on grasping, accurately forecasting the situation, and solving problems arising right at the grassroots level, not being passive or surprised in any situation. Strengthening propaganda, thoroughly grasping, seriously and effectively implementing resolutions, directives, and conclusions of the Central and the province on internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption, negativity, and judicial reform; raising awareness of all classes of people in implementing legal regulations, while promoting the role of the people in performing the task of protecting national security in the new situation. Each cadre and civil servant must raise awareness and responsibility in performing public duties, interacting with the people; paying special attention to solving issues related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, issues that the people are concerned about, petitioned, and reflected on. The heads of Party committees and authorities at all levels strictly implement the reception of people, direct dialogue and pay attention to handling people's reflections and recommendations to ensure results. The competent agencies further promote the effectiveness of coordination in performing tasks, promptly resolving and handling cases in accordance with the provisions of law. Along with that, synchronously and effectively implement solutions to prevent corruption, negativity, handle violations of the law... contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety, creating a favorable environment to promote the development of the province.
