Faced with local water shortages and rapid evaporation, at key locations such as Vuc Ba pumping station in Nga Son district, Loc Dong sluice in Hau Loc district, Quang Ngoc pumping station in Quang Xuong district, pumping stations along Ma river in Yen Dinh, Cam Thuy, Nhu Thanh districts, etc., irrigation branches have mobilized 100% of staff and workers to operate, close sluice gates and stop machines when saltwater intrudes. At 156 irrigation pumping stations, irrigation units in 27 districts, towns and cities have built dams and replaced many damaged pumps to provide enough water for rice to bloom.

This peak irrigation period will last for nearly another week, so in areas with water difficulties, high fields, and remote fields, in addition to dredging and clearing the flow, the province's 27 irrigation branches have strictly implemented the task of retaining water in the fields to limit loss, and allocated the reserve budget to buy 52 high-capacity pumps, many field pumps, and water pipes to support villages and communes in pumping water when necessary.
