Training on environmental protection and climate change response for religions

On December 10, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee held a training conference to disseminate and educate the law, improve capacity and knowledge on environmental protection and climate change response (BVMT - BDKH) for religions in the southeastern provinces and some neighboring provinces.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Vu Dang Minh - Head of the Religious Affairs Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee emphasized that environmental protection and climate change response have become not only a national issue but also a global challenge, deeply affecting the lives of all families and countries.

The southeastern provinces have been facing flooding, subsidence, erosion, and saltwater intrusion, causing agricultural land to shrink. The impacts of climate change have seriously affected the ecosystem and biodiversity in the region.
