Training on investigation and review of statistics on food production and trading establishments

Pursuant to Plan No. 319/KH-UBND dated December 26, 2023 of the Hanoi People's Committee on "Food safety work in Hanoi" in 2024; Plan No. 932/KH-SYT dated March 6, 2024 of the Department of Health on "Implementing food safety activities" in 2024, the Hanoi Department of Food Safety and Hygiene develops a plan to investigate, review, and count food production, processing, and trading establishments, catering services, and street food in Hanoi in 2024.

At the training session, delegates were taught by Head of Food Poisoning Surveillance Department, Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department Le Thi Hang about the construction plans to train in investigation, review and statistics of food production, processing and trading establishments in the city in 2024.

In particular, the Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department is responsible for developing an investigation plan, investigation form, guiding investigation methods, and classifying food business establishments in three sectors: health, agriculture, and industry and trade.

The Hanoi Department of Food Safety and Hygiene urges and supervises investigations in districts, towns, communes, wards and townships to implement the investigation plan, review and compile statistics on food establishments; coordinates with units in directing and implementing professional activities of investigation and review according to regulations; synthesizes investigation and review results, and unifies data with units...

Accordingly, the plan clearly states the purpose: to strengthen State management of food safety with food production, processing, trading establishments, catering services, street food and coordination between sectors on food safety; to strictly manage food production, processing, trading establishments, catering services and street food in the city.

Plan to develop an assessment table of compliance with State regulations on ensuring food safety in the operations of food production, processing, trading establishments, catering services and street food; as a basis for developing a food safety plan for the following years.

In particular, investigate and review 100% of food production, processing, and business establishments, catering services, and street food in the entire city; classify medical, agricultural, and industrial and commercial establishments according to management levels.
