Phuong Chau Medical Group has just become the first medical group in Southeast Asia and the 10th medical system globally to be awarded the prestigious JCI Enterprise certificate by JCI - International Accreditation Commission (USA).
Speaking at the ceremony to receive the JCI certification of Phuong Chau Medical Group on December 30, Dr. Ha Anh Duc (Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management - Ministry of Health) highly appreciated the efforts of the group when 3/4 of the hospitals met JCI standards, becoming the first healthcare system in Southeast Asia to achieve this certification. JCI is the leading certification in healthcare quality management founded by the US, responsible for assessing thousands of criteria. Achieving this certification shows that the hospital's quality management process is very good.

"Regarding medical quality management, the Ministry of Health will gradually improve the quality of medical examination and treatment at public and private hospitals. Specifically, the Ministry of Health has issued a circular on standards for quality assurance requirements for hospitals at a basic level. In 2025, the Ministry will refer to JCI standards with the consultation of experts to raise the standard from basic to advanced. This is an inevitable trend in the context of international integration," Dr. Anh Duc shared.
According to Mr. Duc, to achieve this, in addition to propaganda work, the Ministry of Health will also organize conferences and seminars with the participation of JCI experts so that public and private medical facilities can move towards international standards.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ho (Founder of Phuong Chau Medical Group) said that JCI Enterprise certification continues to mark a strong transformation in the field of hospital quality management of the group. Customers coming to the hospitals in the system for examination and treatment all receive the same quality of safe medical services and consistent quality of care according to this international standard. The system wishes to bring a comprehensive health care ecosystem for mothers and babies that meets international standards and the spirit of compassionate service.
Previously, in 2022, Phuong Chau Hospital (Can Tho) achieved the first JCI gold seal in the system, becoming the first hospital in the Mekong Delta and among the top 6 hospitals nationwide to achieve JCI. In 2024, Phuong Chau Soc Trang Hospital and Phuong Nam Hospital (HCMC) simultaneously achieved 2 JCI certifications, bringing the total number of JCI-accredited hospitals of the Group to 3/8 hospitals in Vietnam.
JCI - Joint Commission International is an American hospital quality assessment organization. JCI certification is considered the most rigorous standard for patient safety and quality of medical care for hospitals and medical care facilities. JCI Enterprise is a prestigious international certification recognized by JCI for healthcare systems with 3 or more JCI-certified hospitals with more than 1,200 standards for quality and patient safety.
