Through Bytes for Future, Keppel donated 80 computers and four air conditioners to improve the quality and learning environment for more than 800 students at the two schools, while also adding books donated by Keppel employees to the libraries of the two schools. The total cost of the program is nearly VND1 billion.
Dong Khoi and Bien Gioi Secondary Schools are both struggling to provide adequate learning resources, specifically computers in classrooms and libraries for students. In addition, the increasingly hot and dry weather in Tay Ninh Province in recent years has also made it difficult for students to concentrate in class.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Joseph Low - Chairman of Keppel Real Estate Vietnam said that two important skills that help us integrate into the digital era and seize new opportunities are the ability to use digital technology and communicate in English. However, students at Dong Khoi Secondary School and Bien Gioi Secondary School are still facing some obstacles in accessing these digital tools, partly because of the school's geographical location, close to the border.
“At Keppel, we believe that education is the key to building a brighter future for the next generation. Through ‘Bytes for Future’, Keppel hopes to enhance the learning environment for children in the digital age, especially in disadvantaged areas. We are pleased to partner with Tien Phong Newspaper to bring this program to students in Tay Ninh Province. In addition, Keppel also wishes to expand the program to be able to accompany more schools in Vietnam,” said Mr. Joseph Low.

Along with always completing the political tasks of the Youth Union newspaper excellently, Tien Phong Newspaper also organizes many social, charitable, cultural and sports activities and has now truly become a large and prestigious event organizer.
Since 2022, Keppel Group and Tien Phong newspaper have initiated and implemented the “Living Well” program - a project to donate saline water purifiers to localities severely affected by drought and climate change. The project has donated water purifiers to many communes in Ben Tre, Tien Giang, Ca Mau, and Tra Vinh to support about 700,000 people with clean water.

Following the sustainable community projects, Keppel and Tien Phong newspaper continue to implement the program “Bytes for Future – Knowledge Machine” to donate computers, books, etc. to children in disadvantaged areas.
“Today, I am very happy that Tien Phong newspaper has connected with the Bytes for Future program – Knowledge Machine to Dong Khoi Secondary School and Bien Gioi Secondary School to present computers and many books to the students here. I hope that these gifts will motivate the students in the border areas to continue to make more efforts in studying and practicing, conquering knowledge, and later becoming useful citizens for the country ,” said journalist Ly Thanh Tam.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuong Huan - Principal of Dong Khoi Secondary School shared that since its establishment, teachers and generations of students of Dong Khoi Secondary School have always strived to bring a useful and quality learning environment. However, the school is facing some difficulties, especially in providing enough resources to serve the students' learning, especially in today's digital age.

In recent times, the shortage of computers has caused many difficulties for students in their learning process. The limited number of computers forces students to use them in turns, which puts their progress in Information Technology at risk of stagnation. Many students have to wait a long time to access a computer to complete their assignments, search for information or refer to new knowledge.
In such difficult circumstances, we have received invaluable support from Keppel Group. Keppel has donated new computers to our school for the IT room and the school library, providing students with more tools to study more effectively. In addition, Keppel also donated air conditioners, helping to improve learning conditions, providing a cooler and more comfortable environment for students, especially during harsh weather days. Thanks to this support, students of Dong Khoi Secondary School will have more opportunities to develop comprehensively, from knowledge, academics to life skills.

“Your company’s support not only helps improve learning conditions but is also a great source of encouragement, boosting the learning spirit of students. We are committed to using these facilities in the most effective way so that all generations of students have the opportunity to access useful sources of knowledge,” said Mr. Huan.
Border Secondary School is a school located near the border, far from residential areas. Therefore, the learning conditions of students here face many obstacles.
Mr. Vo Thanh Tan, Principal of Bien Gioi Secondary School, said that through the Bytes for Future program, Keppel has donated more than 50 computers to the school. This is an extremely valuable gift, helping students have more tools to study, access the digital world and expand their knowledge. In addition, Keppel also donated 3 air conditioners, helping to improve learning conditions, bringing a cooler and more comfortable environment for students, especially on days of harsh weather. The school is also very happy to receive books donated from the program. These books will open the door to the world of knowledge for students, helping them learn many new things and nurture their passion for learning.
