“We are deeply saddened by this incident. In the spirit of “mutual love”, we wish to contribute a small part of our strength to share the pain of the victims,” Journalist Ho Minh Chien expressed.
Previously, at around 11:50 p.m. on September 12, in Khuong Dinh ward (Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi), a fire broke out in a high-rise building with an area of about 200 square meters, causing particularly serious consequences when authorities determined that 56 people died and 37 people were injured.
The Hanoi City Police Department of Investigation then issued a decision to prosecute the case and an arrest warrant to temporarily detain Nghiem Quang Minh (born in 1979; currently residing in Yen Hoa, Cau Giay, Hanoi, owner of the apartment building where the fire occurred) for 4 months for the crime of Violating fire prevention and fighting regulations.
In recent days, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and many organizations have launched a campaign to raise funds and support the victims so that they can soon stabilize their lives after the fire.
