After successfully building an organic rice production model, Cam Xuyen district (Ha Tinh) has attracted businesses to purchase, process and supply ST25 organic rice products to the market.
In the summer-autumn crop harvest of 2023, Hoa Lac IEC Joint Stock Company (Thach Ha) has purchased organic rice products in Cam Binh commune. Accordingly, nearly 20 tons of ST25 rice produced in an 8-hectare field in Binh Quang village were purchased by the enterprise at a price of 9,000 VND/kg of fresh rice, 2,000 VND/kg higher than the market price.

After purchasing, Hoa Lac IEC Joint Stock Company has deployed drying and processing of finished rice to bring to the market, helping Ha Tinh consumers access and use organic clean rice products.
Mr. Phan Thanh Nghi - Director of the Center for Application of Science and Technology and Protection of Crops and Livestock in Cam Xuyen district said: "The organic rice production model in Binh Quang village, Cam Binh commune uses the method of planting trays with large capacity transplanters; weed management by regulating water in the fields; fertilizing with decomposed manure, organic microbial fertilizers, biological products to improve the soil; fertilizing with mineral fertilizers instead of NPK fertilizers; managing pests by synthetic methods, planting at the right density; using herbal medicines to prevent pests instead of pesticides... Through 3 consecutive crops, thanks to strict compliance with the organic production process, the district has initially completed the transition phase and is working with a consulting unit to issue organic certificates".
To produce organic rice, Hoa Lac IEC Joint Stock Company is currently renting the infrastructure of the rice processing factory of Ha Tinh Seed Joint Stock Company (Cam Thanh, Cam Xuyen) as a workshop. At this time, workers are rushing through each stage of production, processing, and packaging to promptly supply Cam Xuyen ST25 organic rice to pre-deposited orders.

Mr. Duong The Hoang - Director of Hoa Lac IEC Joint Stock Company said: “Initially, we consume products at OCOP stores in the province. The company also established a fanpage “Cam Xuyen Organic Rice” on Facebook to promote and introduce the product. Although it has just entered the market, Cam Xuyen organic rice has had a sustainable customer base. This is a stepping stone for us to continue to connect with farmers, expand the raw material area, and scale of organic rice production. Currently, the company is applying for land to build a rice processing factory and post-rice products in Yen Hoa commune, Cam Xuyen district”.
Initially supplied to the market, “Cam Xuyen ST25 Organic Rice” was sold by Hoa Lac IEC Joint Stock Company at 33,000 VND/kg. For orders from 100 kg, the company applies a preferential price of 29,000 VND/kg. With outstanding advantages in aroma, stickiness of rice grains, reasonable price, especially the production process strictly following technical factors, Cam Xuyen ST25 organic rice is highly appreciated, chosen and trusted by customers.

Ms. Bui Thi Nga - employee in charge of the Safe Agricultural Products Store of the Provincial Farmers' Association (in Ha Tinh City) said: "Cam Xuyen ST25 organic rice products are highly appreciated by customers because this is a clean agricultural product, the price is reasonable, the quality of the rice is much better than other production units using the same ST25 variety. Many customers continue to order the product after using it once, so the consumption of Cam Xuyen ST25 organic rice at the store is growing strongly".
