During the period before and during the Lunar New Year 2025, food safety work has been seriously implemented by local authorities, thereby contributing to serving people to celebrate the traditional New Year in a warm, joyful, healthy and safe atmosphere.
It is now the bustling time of the 2025 Spring Festival season. The risk of food safety loss and food safety incidents can still occur at all stages of the food chain and in localities, especially places where festivals are held and attract a large number of participants.
The Food Safety Department requests the Department of Health of provinces and cities, the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City, the Food Safety Management Board of Da Nang City, and Bac Ninh Province to proactively develop detailed plans; organize and coordinate the implementation of food safety measures for the 2025 Spring Festival season.
Units strengthen inter-sectoral inspections of the implementation of food safety regulations; increase the frequency of surprise inspections of food production and business establishments serving the 2025 Spring Festival in the area. Especially large production and business establishments, food services at festivals, food business establishments at historical sites, tourist areas, festival areas... Localities and units resolutely suspend operations of violating establishments, recall and handle unsafe food according to regulations.
