(Dan Tri) - Twin brothers in Quang Nam province won first prize in math in the national excellent student competition for the 2024-2025 school year and received gifts from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
On the afternoon of January 28 (ie 29th of Lunar New Year), Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, visited and encouraged twin brothers Nguyen Tri Hien and Nguyen Tri Hau (16 years old, in Tam Thanh commune, Phu Ninh district, Quang Nam province), 11th grade math students, Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted.
Tri Hien and Tri Hau are 2 of 16 students who won first prize in math at the national excellent student exam in the 2024-2025 school year, in which Tri Hau scored 30.5 points and Tri Hien scored 28.5 points.

The joy doubled when the two brothers were just summoned by the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in the second round of selection for the national team to compete in the 2025 International Olympics.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province hopes that Tri Hien and Tri Hau will study hard to achieve good results, continue to inherit and promote the tradition of the land of learning Quang Nam.

"The provincial leaders highly welcome and commend the sense of responsibility of the family, especially the mother of the two children who has always worked hard to raise her children and study well. After Tet, the two children will go to Hanoi to review, then participate in the second round of the selection of the national excellent student team to compete in the International Olympics. I hope the two children will try to study well and have good health to have the conditions to fly high and far," the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province encouraged the two children.

Also on the afternoon of the 29th of Tet, leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam province and teachers visited and encouraged the two brothers Nguyen Tri Hien and Nguyen Tri Hau to try to achieve good results to be on the national team to compete in the 2025 International Olympics.
Mr. Thai Viet Tuong, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam, gave 10 million VND and the benefactor gave 20 million VND to the families of the two students Nguyen Tri Hien and Nguyen Tri Hau.
Up to now, Tri Hien and Tri Hau have maintained their achievements of being excellent students for 9 consecutive years, along with many achievements such as: Gold Medal in the April 30 Olympic Competition; Gold Medal in the Northern Delta Coastal Olympic Competition; Gold Medal in the National Math Olympiad for Students...
Nguyen Tri Hien shared: "I was very surprised when on the afternoon of the 29th of Tet, the provincial leaders and teachers came to our house to encourage us. We were very happy and touched by everyone's love and care for us. This is a great source of motivation for us to strive to achieve the best results."
