Strengthening air pollution control in the province during the changing seasons

To continue to strengthen the control of activities that generate emissions and dust in the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to continue to direct and effectively implement assigned tasks, while strengthening inspection and urging project owners, management units, and construction units of construction, traffic, and urban infrastructure renovation works to strictly implement measures to prevent and minimize the spread of dust and emissions into the surrounding environment.

Strengthen the inspection and supervision of means of transport, especially vehicles carrying raw materials on the roads in the province, strictly handle vehicles transporting raw materials without covering measures, causing them to spill onto the roads. Guide people to practice measures and solutions to protect their health against air pollution at times when air quality is polluted, especially when affected by adverse weather conditions during the changing seasons.

People's Committees of districts and cities shall strengthen propaganda and mobilize people not to burn solid waste, straw, and agricultural by-products after harvest to reduce emissions and dust that pollute the environment; increase the use of vehicles running on low-emission, environmentally friendly fuels; increase the number of water spraying vehicles on urban roads to limit dust generation, especially in dry weather conditions; thoroughly collect garbage and dirt on traffic axes, routes, and median strips.

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilization work for union members, members and people to effectively control activities that generate emissions and dust that pollute the environment. Coordinate with competent agencies to strengthen supervision of the implementation of environmental laws by agencies, units and localities in the province.
