(CLO) Tu Tho resettlement village, Te Xang commune, Tu Mo Rong district (Kon Tum province), will receive a set of precious gongs. In addition, the People's Committee of this district also decided to auction 1kg of Ngoc Linh ginseng to raise funds for the village to develop community tourism.
On January 13, Mr. Vo Trung Manh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tu Mo Rong district (Kon Tum province) said that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of this province has just decided to give Tu Tho resettlement village a set of precious gongs to develop community tourism.
Tu Tho resettlement village was built about 5 years ago, aiming to relocate people in areas at risk of landslides. After 5 years of relocation, people's lives have improved day by day. People's thinking has also changed, from deforestation to afforestation; from waiting and relying on others to proactively selling buffaloes and cows to get capital to develop high-income economic models.
Gongs and xoang dance are two unique traditional cultural features of the Xo Dang people in Tu Mo Rong district.
After many forced migrations due to natural disasters, the village lost its gongs, symbolic long houses and valuable traditions of the Xo Dang people. The gifts given by cultural management units, individuals and philanthropists have great significance in supporting the village to develop tourism and preserve the culture of the Xo Dang people.
According to Mr. Vo Trung Manh, with the potential and prepared tourism luggage, the locality believes that the Xo Dang people in Tu Tho will restore, preserve and promote their unique cultural identity, helping tourists experience the diversity in the culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
The presentation of gongs to villagers will take place tomorrow morning (January 14) at the ceremony announcing the decision of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee to recognize Tu Tho community tourism village, Te Xang commune.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Tu Mo Rong district also organized an auction of 1kg of "National Treasure" Ngoc Linh ginseng to raise funds to support the people of Tu Tho resettlement village to develop community tourism.
Tu Mo Rong District People's Committee will auction 1kg of Ngoc Linh ginseng to develop Tu Tho community tourism village.
The auction will be held in two forms: directly at the village and online via social media platforms, for those who cannot attend in person. The highest bidder will own 1kg of Ngoc Linh ginseng.
It is known that this 1kg of Ngoc Linh ginseng was donated by an individual in Mang Ri commune, Tu Mo Rong district to the district People's Committee to develop community tourism in Tu Tho village.
