Health insurance card giving program in Thu Duc city.
The units directly presented 127 health insurance cards worth 15 months to near-poor people in some wards of Thu Duc City. The remaining health insurance cards will be transferred to the wards for distribution to the people. At the Program, the Organizing Committee acknowledged and thanked the sponsors of the health insurance card purchases, namely Thanh Hiep Private Gold Trading Enterprise; Ben San Tay Joint Stock Company.
Although the budget supports 70% of the cost of buying health insurance cards, many near-poor people are too poor to spend the remaining 30% to buy health insurance cards in case of illness. Understanding this, the leaders of Thu Duc City Social Insurance (HCMC) and the Social Security Center are making efforts to promote, mobilize, and support so that more and more near-poor people can have health insurance cards. This gesture has received deep gratitude from people receiving health insurance card support.
Speaking at the ceremony of presenting health insurance cards to near-poor people in Thu Duc City, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance acknowledged and highly appreciated this very meaningful and practical activity of Thu Duc City Social Insurance and the Social Security Center. At the same time, he expressed his hope that the activity of supporting the giving of health insurance cards to near-poor people will continue to be spread, expanded and receive more attention and support. So that more and more people in difficult circumstances will be given health insurance cards to take care of their health, stabilize their lives, and contribute to increasing the rate of health insurance coverage in the area.
