The award has become a motivation for her to continue researching and developing the abundant medicinal resources in the region, creating valuable products. Thereby, not only increasing the income of the Cooperative but also contributing to creating jobs and increasing income for local people.

Since September 2023, Ms. Vy Thi Lua has researched and produced the product of wild guava tea from Lua Vy. Sharing about the idea of developing this product, Ms. Lua said: Khau Slao plateau, Huu Kien commune, Chi Lang district has an area of about 144 hectares, where there are many wild guava trees or people also call them wild guava trees. This tree has small leaves, and a more astringent taste than guava growing in home gardens. Through research and study, knowing that guava is a fruit rich in vitamins and fiber, good for health; guava leaves; young buds, young leaves, root bark, stem bark... all have good effects on health, she has researched combining wild guava leaves and fruits with some herbs to produce wild guava tea products.

The Silk Vy Agricultural Cooperative has gone with the locals to the forest to pick guava leaves and guava fruits to make tea, turning this forest plant that no one pays attention to and does not bring economic value into a healthy drink. To have a source of raw materials to produce tea, from September 2023 to now, the Cooperative has purchased over 20 tons of guava leaves and fresh guava fruits from people in Huu Kien commune.

To bring the product of Lua Vy wild guava tea to the market, Ms. Vy Thi Lua said that the Cooperative combined with some precious herbs from the Northern mountainous region, applied production according to export-quality drying technology and underground techniques to create a unique flavor for the tea. The product also has full legal documents to ensure quality standards, distribution and is completing the OCOP product approval process. Currently, the wild guava tea product is tea in filter bags packaged with 30 filter bags/box and sold for 80,000/box.

The secret to bringing products to market

In the current context, the market is increasingly demanding, consumers are becoming smarter and competitive pressure is increasing, to create a position for the products produced by the Cooperative, the female director of the Cooperative said that when products are put on the market, they all have full labels, packaging and traceability stamps, transparent information about the product, care process, and product production.

Therefore, when launched on the market, the products of Vy Silk Agricultural Processing Cooperative always receive positive feedback from customers and are widely consumed in provinces from North to South.

To meet the needs of digital technology consumption, to make consumers aware of its products, the Cooperative, especially the leadership team, has proactively researched and explored to promote, introduce and sell products on social networking platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, Youtube, Tiktok... Ms. Vy Thi Lua shared: To achieve high efficiency, the Cooperative has proactively researched and learned to build its own account, create promotional content, introduce products on diverse, vivid social networking platforms, attracting viewers. Up to now, the Cooperative's accounts on social networking platforms have tens of thousands of followers. Promoting products on social networking platforms helps the Cooperative to be more convenient in consuming products. It is estimated that up to 80% of products are known and purchased by consumers through social networking platforms.

Flexible, adaptable and constantly creative, Ms. Vy Thi Lua is enhancing the value of her homeland's indigenous resources every day.
