Temporarily seized a batch of cigarettes, wine, and beer for Tet worth nearly 800 million VND

Implement Plan No. 13/KH-TCQLTT dated October 22, 2024 of the General Department of Market Management and Plan No. 43/KH-BCĐ389 dated November 1, 2024 of the Steering Committee 389 of Bac Ninh province on the peak plan against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the last months of 2024; before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025.

On December 17-18, 2024, Market Management Team No. 3, Market Management Department of Bac Ninh province coordinated with Team 3 - Economic Police Department (PC03), Bac Ninh Provincial Police to suddenly inspect NTTH 2 Business Household, address: Ngoc Han Cong Chua Street, Tien Ninh Ve Ward, Bac Ninh City, Bac Ninh Province.

The inspection results discovered that NTTH 2 Business Household was trading 1,170 packs of cigarettes, 400 packs/boxes of tea, 240 cans of TSINGTAO Beer and 2,000 bottles of wine with signs of smuggling, with a total value of 755,260,000 VND.

At the time of inspection, NTTH 2 Business Household could not present invoices or documents proving the legal origin of the goods. Market Management Team No. 3 issued a Decision to temporarily detain all of the above goods for verification, clarification and handling according to the provisions of law.

Through the process of fighting, verifying and clarifying the violations, the Market Management Department of Bac Ninh province submitted to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province to issue a decision to administratively sanction NTTH 2 Business Household with a fine of 150 million VND, forcing the destruction of all the above goods according to the provisions of law.
