Authorities search a clinic in Bien Hoa City.

Previously, on the morning of May 30, Bien Hoa City Police coordinated with police from several wards and communes in the city to simultaneously inspect and search 8 locations (including 6 private clinics).

During the search of the clinics and related locations, the police discovered and seized more than 130,000 certificates of leave from work to receive social insurance, more than 400 health examination certificates with fake results and no information about the examinee. The police also seized 100 boxes of documents, more than 40 computer CPUs, mobile phones and documents and exhibits related to medical examination and treatment activities at these clinics.

Initially, the police determined that these subjects had forged the above documents and sold them to workers at companies to settle social insurance and health insurance (HI) payments. The subjects created records to withdraw HI payments from workers (in fact, the workers were not sick and did not go to the doctor, but the clinics still received money for medical examination and treatment from the HI), causing losses to the state budget and affecting the operations of businesses.

Currently, the police are continuing to expand the investigation of the case.
