Temporarily suspend operations of some trucks during the 2024 high school graduation exam

DNO - On June 14, the Department of Transport announced that in order to prevent and avoid risks of traffic accidents, the unit announced a plan to temporarily suspend operations of some types of vehicles during the time teachers and students go to exam sites for the 2024 high school graduation exam.

Specifically, temporarily suspend the operation of the following types of vehicles: trucks pulling trailers; semi-trailers; dump trucks; trucks carrying wood chips with a permitted cargo volume of over 10 tons on all routes in the city.

Except for the following routes: Hai Van - Tuy Loan tunnel, La Son - Tuy Loan, Hai Van pass road, Ta Quang Buu, Nguyen Van Cu (section from Ta Quang Buu street to Hai Van pass road), National Highway 14B (section from the border of Quang Nam province to Hoa Cam overpass), Hoa Cam overpass (including two access roads on both sides of the bridge), National Highway 1A (section from Hoa Cam overpass to the border of Quang Nam province), Da Nang - Quang Ngai expressway on June 26, 27 and 28, 2024;

With specific suspension time of vehicles as follows:

June 26, afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

June 27 and 28, morning from 6:00 - 7:30.

Lunch from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Afternoon from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

For the backup exam day (June 29, 2024), it is expected that some trucks will be temporarily suspended from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. in the morning and from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the afternoon, and will only be suspended upon notice.

Propose that the City Police take the lead and coordinate with the Department of Transport, the Department of Education and Training, the People's Committees of districts and related units to deploy a plan to ensure traffic safety during the exam; increase the number of guards, traffic guides, check and strictly handle violations; especially the exam sites: Phan Thanh Tai High School (address: National Highway 1, Phong Nam village, Hoa Chau commune) and Ong Ich Khiem High School (address: National Highway 14B, Cam Toai Trung village, Hoa Phong commune, Hoa Vang district).

Request the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committee of Hoa Vang district to notify parents and students of Ong Ich Khiem High School (address: National Highway 14B, Cam Toai Trung village, Hoa Phong commune, Hoa Vang district) to have a plan to move to the school by moving through the underpass in front of An Phuoc Primary School, limiting traffic on National Highway 14B.
