According to his family, Mr. T. worked as an aluminum foundry worker. While working, an aluminum saw flew out, injuring his penis.
"The patient arrived at the hospital 12 hours after the injury," said Dr. Bui Van Quang, Center for Andrology, Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, and informed that the patient had the corpus cavernosum and corpus spongiosum sutured and the scrotal skin shaped to cover both testicles.

After 2 days of surgery, the penis was preserved pink, well-perfused, the incision was dry, had little fluid, and showed no signs of infection. The patient was regularly examined by the doctor after surgery, and given a treatment regimen to monitor erectile recovery later.
Doctor Bui Van Quang warned that this is a rare incident, but it leaves behind complex, crushed wounds, making it difficult to treat and preserve the severed penis.
People need to be careful, ensure labor safety, in case of an unfortunate accident, first aid, preserve the severed part properly and transfer the patient to a specialized medical facility for timely treatment.
