Duy Tan students won gold medal at National Athletics 2023 in Women's Pole Vault

With 3 achievements m 80, Nguyen Pham Hoai Yen - Athlete of Da Nang City Athletics Team , currently a final year student majoring in Tourism & Travel Management PSU of Duy Tan University, has excellently won a gold medal in Women's Pole Vault at the 2023 National Athletics Championship . This is the 47th time the tournament has been held . This year the tournament takes place from October 24-28 , 2023 , at the National Military Training Center 4 Mieu Mon , Hanoi .

There are 474 athletes from 53 units nationwide competing in 50 main events (24 men's, 24 women's, 2 mixed) and 1 youth event (8 men's heptathlons) at the 2023 National Athletics Championship . This is the last important tournament of Vietnamese Athletics this year.

As one of the outstanding young athletes of the Da Nang City Athletics Team , for many years Nguyen Pham Hoai Yen has achieved many impressive achievements in national competitions, contributing to Da Nang being one of the localities with the best sports achievements in the country.

To prepare for the 47th National Athletics Championship 2023 , Hoai Yen has had nearly 2 months of training at the National Training Center 2, Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City under the enthusiastic guidance of the coaches. The days of arduous training, the times of serious and minor injuries affecting her health, did not dampen the will of the strong girl Hoai Yen. With a highly focused competitive spirit and determination to win, Nguyen Pham Hoai Yen was excellently named in the highest position in the Women's Pole Vault with a result of 3m80. This is also Hoai Yen 's highest achievement to date.

Previously, Hoai Yen had won:

  • Gold medal at the 2022 National Sports Festival ,
  • Silver medal at the 2020 National Athletics Championship ,
  • Silver medal at the 2018 National Sports Festival .

Delighted with the precious gold medal , Hoai Yen shared: "It can be said that overcoming the 3m80 bar to win the gold medal in this competition is also a record for me. I am very proud to have overcome my own limits. This will be the motivation for me to try harder in training and competing, and the foundation for me to be able to 'touch' international competition slots . Through this, I also want to thank my teachers and friends at Duy Tan University, who have always supported, encouraged and created the most favorable conditions for me to achieve the achievements I have today . "

With her own efforts, Nguyen Pham Hoai Yen has proven her patience, determination and ability to overcome difficulties to achieve great success. This achievement of Hoai Yen is not only a joy and happiness for herself and her family but also a pride for teachers and friends at Duy Tan school as well as for young people who love sports in general.

Hoai Yen's jump conquered the 3m80 bar to win the gold medal

Swimmer Nguyen Huu Kim Son, another student of Duy Tan University, won 5 medals (including 3 gold medals and 2 bronze medals) at the 2023 National Swimming - Diving Championship held from October 10 - 15, 2023 at Phu Tho Swimming and Diving Club, Ho Chi Minh City.

Duy Tan University's women's volleyball team won second place at the 2023 National Student Volleyball Tournament in the Central region (after Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports), taking place from October 19-24, 2023 and officially has a ticket to the National Finals in November 2023 in Hanoi.
